( what does steve have in store for him? will he be naked except for the shield, like hippies that sit with guitars in their laps? is that hot? sometimes, he finds himself thinking about what does it to him, if it's just steve or just cas or if he has any actual preferences. this is supposed to be the city where he finds them, isn't it? when he thinks about what drew him to steve, he just remembers good conversation, help steve gave him, and wanting to help steve in return. anything that came from it, he hadn't planned and other than cas, it was the first time he really felt something, even briefly, for another guy.
he still doesn't count he and Cas back home. he didn't know then. he couldn't know.
they have an hour or two until dean needs to get to work. he unpacks the groceries, prepares himself, and then heads down the hall to steve's door.
